The following table shows the operational status of the BMPRO J35 Battery Management System (BMS). The J35 BMS has an LED indicator mounted on the main circuit board, located on the left hand side of the unit (where the main connection terminals and the 40A battery fuse is located).
This LED is a status indicator and will flash accordingly to the condition of the J35. This visual indicator is very helpful to assist installers, repairers and users to quickly identify faults, battery health, battery charging, solar status etc.
NOTE: The most common fault that we receive phone calls about is: “Red Flashes, 2 Times Quickly” – which in most cases is a flat battery that has fallen below it’s low voltage threshold, or has an “open” cell. This is a typical fault, simply due to lack of battery maintenance during camper / caravan storage.
